Smather's Beach Before Hurricane "Wilma"
The original pavillion in this picture was removed by "Wilma" in 2005 and replaced with a Tiki Hut. This was moved a short time ago, about 30 yards East because the sand had eroded so badly underneath it by the storms this past summer. It is barely visible through the palm trees on Webcam3. One wonders when the powers that be will replace the sand! Beach=Sand, a rather basic concept it would seem!
